This is a season of thanksliving and I want to spend the next few weeks focusing on that which I am thankful for - big and small. For starters, I am thankful for the church. Specifically, Ethos Church. By suggestion, I started listening to Dave and Brandon’s sermons through podcasts back in March of this year and as soon as I transplanted to Nashville in August I visited Ethos. I fell in love.
Ethos is simple: Love God. Love people. Awaken a movement.
Nothing more. Nothing less.
On Sundays we meet in a dimly lit bar in downtown Nashville.
The gathering is diverse.
The preaching is expository, verse-by-verse and makes no assumptions.
The worship is simple and authentic.
The Eucharist is communal.
The offering is redistributive.
On Wednesdays we meet in houses scattered across the city.
We share.
We laugh.
We confess.
We eat.
We serve.
We grow.
God is doing big things in and through this community of faith and I’m just excited to be a minute part of it.
