“Grace” by Eric Enstrom
This painting has hung above my grandmother’s dinner table my entire life. I love it. It is one of those things with inexplicable personal meaning and significance. I have half-way joked about placing my name on the back of it with plans to inherit it some day.
Alas, as that time draws near for my Mama, one of my uncles (one of my grandmother’s sons - can you believe it?) has already laid claim to it. Luckily for me, it is a widely popular painting of no pretentious cultural significance and can be purchased on the web for a mere ten dollars are so. Guess who just bought one?
